A workshop for actors to explore humanity's complex relationship with artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is ubiquitous in much of our everyday lives. By streamlining our tasks, curating our content, and automating our decisions, AI is subtly influencing how we interact with the world and each other.The Human Equation is an improvisational workshop, with a narrative built in. Set in a support group meeting for people who are concerned with the effects of artificial intelligence on society, actors play [a version of] themselves, share their experience with AI, and imagine life without it. The workshop gives actors a structured, collaborative space to creatively explore what is gained, and what is lost with the technology.

Starting in January, The Human Equation is a weekly, one hour workshop that is free to attend. Space is limited, please RSVP to secure a spot.
WORKSHOP INFO:
1. The primary intention for the workshop is to provide a space to facilitate creative exploration through play.2. The greatest tool for an actor is improvisation (play). It is often used to find truth in a character, or truth in a scene. Improvisation can also find truth in an idea.3. The workshop encourages actors to use improvisation to explore our relationship with artificial intelligence, and discover how the technology affects the way we interact with the world.4. For the duration of each workshop, we’ll imagine that we’ve abstained from the use of AI integrated apps - such as social media, music & video streaming, search browsers, and maps - and share our experiences.5. The workshop will meet in Cypress Park on Sundays at noon, from Jan 26 - March 30 (RSVP for location)6. You can drop in for one workshop, or attend as many as you like. However, repetition will lead to the most rewarding experience.7. Workshop analysis & discussion will be saved for the Telegram channel, where your feedback, insights and suggestions are very welcome.
